Ripple donates $ 50 million to 17 universities

The funds are aimed at education on blockchain technology and the crypto universe

Ripple (XRP) has just announced its initiative to support education on blockchain technology and the world of cryptocurrencies through a donation to 17 universities. The amount reached $ 50 million.

The University Blocks Chain Research (UBRI) initiative also includes support through technical resources and the possibility of some practical performance that allow participants to collaborate with Ripple in the investigation of the aforementioned topics, as well as the creation of curricula based on such technology.

After the announcement, it was known that Princeton will investigate the political impact of the crypto and blockchain worldwide. Likewise, UPenn will receive support for MBA-MS candidates with a double degree program that allows them to work in both areas. And the University of Luxembourg will create a research program on the block chain.

Considered the largest blockchain company in the world so far, Ripple had already made a donation of support to public schools for an amount of $ 29 million through DonorsChoose. With the donation to universities, it remains focused on the world of digital currencies and their benefits.

A subject that seemed of low interest in research centers and universities, is now the focus of attention thanks to the diverse uses and applications that have shown that they can offer with security, stability and transparency.
