Retail businesses grow 0.7%

The volume of trade in the United States showed an expansion in the month of July with respect to June, reaching an amount of 523.5 billion dollars

The volume of retail trade in the United States showed an expansion of 0.7% in July compared to the previous month, reaching 523.5 billion dollars.

This was reported by the National Institute of Statistics (US Bureau Census) of the US Department of Commerce regarding the situation experienced last month.

Regarding the interannual evolution, the July figure is 3.4% higher than the same month of the previous year.

Retail sales for the period from May to July 2019 increased by 3.3% compared to the same months of a year earlier.

Likewise, the US Department of Commerce has revised the estimate offered for the month of June, up to an increase of 0.3%, thus correcting the 0.4% data that it had previously calculated.
