Rakuten and CipherTrace sharpen mechanisms against money laundering

Both companies plan to enforce all these procedures, implementing the use of blockchain technology

The retail company Rakuten, made an alliance with the blockchain analysis firm CipherTrace in order to comply with the regulations and rules established in the sector.

The objective is for Rakuten Wallet to be able to operate with users who are interested in being part of the service ecosystem, so that they can register their accounts within the platform.

The head of the risk control department of Rakuten Wallet, Yoshinao Kiyama, stressed that “compliance with regulations and rules against money laundering is of the utmost importance… We believe that CipherTrace will provide us with the necessary tools to offer better support to Rakuten Wallet.”

For CipheTrace this could be considered as one of the most important alliances in the ecosystem, after the achieved time ago with the exchange of Binance cryptocurrencies.

The companies that have come to this pursue the goal of improving and enforcing anti-money laundering procedures.
