Petrobras announces reduction in gasoline and diesel prices

The Petrobras industry announced the reduction of the cost of gasoline and diesel by 9.5% and 6.5% respectively due to the current economic crisis.

The viral outbreak that is going through the world, added to the dispute between Russia and Saudi Arabia regarding oil production levels, led the company to take this measure.

These prices are effective from March 13 at all gas stations, however, Petrobras indicated that the final price of fuel will depend on each filling point.

“The prices of gasoline and diesel sold to distributors are based on the import parity price, made up of international quotes for these products plus import costs, such as transport and port taxes,” they stressed.

Petrobras clarifies that the Brazilian fuel market is open to free competition, offering distributors the alternative of importing different products.
