PDVSA and Repsol sign memorandum of understanding on oil and gas in Caracas

Venezuela's state-owned oil company, PDVSA, and Spain's Repsol signed a memorandum of understanding on Tuesday, June 16, in the oil and gas sectors to attract investment and strengthen production

The Venezuelan state oil company PDVSA signed a memorandum of understanding with Spain’s Repsol on Tuesday, June 16, in the oil and gas sectors as part of the national strategy to recover productive capacity and attract investment.

“The agreement was signed at Miraflores Palace by Héctor Obregón, president of PDVSA, and Francisco Gea Pascual de Riquelme, executive director of Exploration and Production at Repsol. Josu Jon Imaz, the company’s CEO, also participated and highlighted the company’s more than three decades of experience in the country.”

Repsol is expected to work jointly with PDVSA to reach new technical and commercial agreements.
