Paxful to expand its network with 20 cryptocurrency ATMs in Latin America

Colombia and Peru are selected to expand the platform for buying and selling bitcoins, an initiative associated with the blockchain company CoinLogiq, based in Medellín

Paxful reported through Cointelegraph that they will install 20 cryptocurrency ATMs in various points of interest in Bogotá and Medellín, two of the largest cities of Colombia to allow residents benefited from the initiative to obtain the digital currency with more freedom using different payment methods such as transfer, gift cards or the more traditional ones such as cash, debit or credit cards.

With the intention of stimulating the use of digital currencies in the South American country and offering customers the possibility of acquiring bitcoin, this alternative allows to control the growing demand of cryptocurrency users in Colombia.

It worths mentioning the intention of the Caribbean region to get involved with digital currencies, interest that led the Republic Bank to be part of the Ledger Technology initiative in order to ensure peace of mind to the benefited population.

For his part, the co-founder of Paxful and CEO, Ray Youssef, highlighted the great interest of Latin America in working with Coinlogiq and added: “Latin America has true heroes in the CoinLogiq team. They genuinely care and focus on real use cases. That is what makes bitcoin a reality and a part of people’s daily lives. We are proud to work with them.”

According to statements by Paxful’s manager, Magdiela Rivas, it is also planned to encourage this initiative in Peru, another relevant Latinamerican market.
