Paxful builds a bitcoin school in Rwanda

One of the largest bitcoin markets in the world, Paxful, continues to demonstrate how the cryptocurrency ecosystem can contribute to good causes around the world

The platform Paxful has announced that the second school that has financed in Rwanda has already been completed. The project was fully funded through cryptocurrency donations as part of the #BuiltWithBitcoin initiative with more than $ 100,000 raised.

This construction is the first elementary school in the area that cares for children between 6 and 15 years old. The facility has six classrooms, a cafeteria, bathroom stalls, solar panels and a 35,000-liter water well. It was completed in collaboration with the charity Zam Zam Water and will provide employment to six full-time teachers.

The company recently reported that its monthly volume of bitcoins in Africa reached $ 65 million  It launched the #ConstruidoConBitcoin program last year and started by donating $ 50,000 in bitcoin to build the first youth school in Rwanda keeping the project of financing and building 100 schools across Africa.

Up to date, Paxful has built two schools, a kindergarten and a primary school in Rwanda, Africa. It has also awarded scholarships to Afghan refugees and plans to continue with philanthropic ventures.
