The Superintendency of Banks indicated that very little is known about this issue and, in its opinion, it does not have a regulation that guarantees safe transactions.

The Superintendency of Banks of Panama alerted the whole public about the precaution and adequate advice they should take regarding the use of cryptocurrencies, where Bitcoin is the most widespread asset.

Likewise, the entity considers it pertinent to urge those interested to know about the risks that surround the acquisition of cryptocurrencies. It should be noted that many people use the method as a means of payment or investment.

As a result of which the subject turns out to be a novelty for everyone, they indicate that the exchange, investment, sale and commercialization in general of the altcoin, do not have any type of regulation that indicates its adequate use. Therefore they clarify that the activities developed as a result of this do not fall within the competence of the Superintendency.

On the other hand, they warn that the subjects regulated by this institution at the moment have not requested authorization to guard, invest, intermediate or operate with cryptocurrencies in general.
