Oracle and Microsoft could acquire TikTok

The rumors of TikTok being purchased by other corporations continue. Now they point to an alliance between Oracle and Microsoft to take over the video platform

TikTok could be acquired by Oracle and Microsoft, according to recently leaked information about a new purchase agreement.

After Donald Trump granted a 75-day extension on the operation of the app in the United States, it has been learned that the president is leading the negotiations that point to an alliance between Oracle and Microsoft to acquire TikTok.

In this negotiation that also involves other investors, “ByteDance would retain a small stake” in the platform.

However, “with regard to the application’s algorithm, data collection and software updates would be supervised by Oracle.” In this sense, it is appropriate to highlight that the servers of said company “are already providing most of the operation of TikTok and would be in charge of monitoring and supervising everything that will happen in the application.”
