OPEC + maintains increase in crude oil on the world market

The Organization of Petroleum Producing Countries and its allied nations ratified their commitment to increase the sale of crude oil by two million barrels a day

The ministers of the nations that make up the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries plus Russia confirmed that they will continue with the plan to progressively increase the supply of crude oil by 2 million barrels per day, as agreed last April.

The statements were offered at the end of a virtual meeting where they revalidated the commitment, highlighting the recovery of the planet’s energy demand, for which they do not consider it necessary to change the established scheme.

However, they agreed to meet on July 1st to evaluate the market’s behavior and make decisions that will be carried out as of August.

OPEC +, led by Saudi Arabia and Russia, awaits the return of Iranian crude to the world energy market.
