OHL seeks to invoice 4,000 million euros in the association with Amodio

The Spanish construction company aspires to return to profitability after the entry of new Mexican entrepreneurs

OHL aspires to return to profitability and profit, since its income reaches the level of 4,000 million euros as the main medium-term objectives in the “new stage” that it undertakes after the entry of Mexican entrepreneurs Luis and Mauricio Amodio as new reference shareholders.

In the operational field, OHL confirmed its intention to increase contracting by promoting the concessions business from Senda Infraestructuras, the new branch of the branch that it established at the end of last year, one year after selling the one it had then. “OHL currently focus on its main objectives, the achievement of profitability and financial stability,” said its owner, Juan Villar-Mir de Fuentes.

In this sense, the president of OHL assures that the group undertakes “with great enthusiasm” the “new stage” that it undertakes after the entry of Amodio, in which, as he assured, “the objective of continuing to leave its mark on the development of the infrastructure that society needs.”

During his speech at the meeting, Villar-Mir de Fuentes “welcomed” the Mexican businessmen. “We welcome new shareholders, we have a long and exciting journey to do things together,” said the president.

The OHL meeting takes place just weeks after the Mexican businessmen bought 16% of OHL from the Villar-Mir Group and replaced it in its role as historical benchmark partner. In addition, they have promised to acquire another 9%, to reach 25% of the company, so that the Juan Miguel Villar-Mir corporation will reduce its position in the company to around 5%.
