Nvidia to have largest GB200 superchips factory in Guadalajara

Nvidia's largest GB200 superchip manufacturing plant in the world will be located in Guadalajara, Mexico, in partnership with Foxconn

Nvidia’s largest GB200 superchips manufacturing plant will be located in Guadalajara, Mexico, as announced by Yong Liu, president of Foxconn, in early October.

Foxconn is the largest contract manufacturer of electronic products, primarily associated with the manufacture of products such as Apple’s iPhone. Its partnership with Nvidia will allow it to move towards the manufacture of GB200 superchips, which will be part of the Blackwell family, one of the most advanced in the industry.

According to the statement, mass production of these devices is expected to begin at the end of 2024. This step would help consolidate Nvidia’s position in the technology industry, but also help Mexico become a key player in the region.

Nvidia’s GB200 superchips that will be manufactured in Guadalajara “are designed to support massive workloads in artificial intelligence environments, making them essential components for the next generation of servers and AI platforms.”
