New cryptoactive treasurers are appointed in Venezuela
These assignments were made in accordance with the provisions of article 50, number 16 of the Organic Law of Public Administration
The Treasury of Cryptoactives of Venezuela, a State company dedicated to the issuance, custody, collection and distribution of cryptoactives, has assigned new mayors authorized to comply with the obligations and functions contemplated in the Law.
In accordance with Resolution No. 010, published in Official Gazette 41,831, dated March 3, 2020, Luis Eduardo Mendoza Romero will be the new person in charge of the Treasury of Criptoactivos de Venezuela, SA. Also, Omar José Montilla will be the mayor of Crypto Financial Services and Ángel Rafael Mujica Escobar, the mayor of Promotion and Development of Cryptoactive and Related Activities.
According to the legal framework in Venezuela, the government body of the Crypto Treasury carries out all the activities inherent to the collection of income, transfers, payments, investments, fund administration and crypto assets management.
It also includes the supervision of negotiable instruments aimed at sustaining their value, issuance and management of the infrastructure and the cryptoactive information system, as a competent body within the national and international territory for these purposes.
