Neo had intentions to acquire BitTorrent

Several leaked documents claim that Tron was not the only one interested in the purchase transaction of the company based in Silicon Valley

Recent reports claim that the company Tron was not the only one interested in acquiring BitTorrent, given that Neo also had allegedly entered the bid.

Several leaked documents claim that Neo, which had planned to use it through Neo Global Capital, was the main rival for the purchase of the firm based in Silicon Valley.

Neo’s chief investment officer, Weiju Zhu, allegedly claimed that his company would have made an initial offer for 170 million dollars, 50 million more than Tron’s offer.

Although Tron and Neo have different goals, both have already faced each other in order to take the lead in one of the most competitive markets in the world, in addition to seeking to create faster networks.

However, despite the fact that the money supply was higher, BitTorrent’s management rejected the offer in view of what they considered “not favorable for the company and its shareholders.”
