Mustang Mach-E 1400 will be equipped with seven electric engines

A prototype that the manufacturer says develops 1,400 horsepower and a 56.8-kilowatt-hour battery

Mustang Mach-E 1400 is the latest innovation from the Ford company, which last Tuesday announced a prototype based on the model equipped with seven electric engines, which develops 1,400 horsepower and has a 56.8 kilowatt-hour battery.

Although the US company did not reveal what the vehicle’s top speed or acceleration will be, it reported that the intention is to show the capacity of electric vehicles, and despite not being legally certified to drive on the roads, it will be presented soon in a NASCAR competition race in U.S.

Compared to the Mustang Mach-E GT, this more expensive and equipped new version will have two engines that develop 459 horsepower and will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers an hour in less than four seconds.

Its aerodynamics have been optimized with cooling ducts, front splitter, canards and rear wing. The innovation also features an electronic brake booster that enables regeneration during braking while optimizing stability.

For his part, Mark Rushbrook, director of motor sports at Ford Performance, indicated that “the challenge was to control the extreme levels of power provided by the seven engines. The Mustang Mach-E 1400 is a showcase for the art of the possible with an electric vehicle.”
