The entity’s accounts include a positive fiscal impact of $ 348 million, compared to $ 203 million in the previous year.

Morgan Stanley’s turnover for the whole of last year reached 41,419 million dollars, 3.3% more than in 2018, with a 23% increase in its net interest income, to 17,098 million dollars.

In the fourth quarter, Morgan Stanley beat the market consensus forecasts by recording a net attributable profit of $ 2,085 million, an increase of 53.2% compared to the same period of 2017.

The turnover of the US bank grew by 27% between the months of October and November, to 10,857 million dollars, after increasing the income of its intermediation business by 28.4%, including a 126% increase in the turnover of its business fixed income, while the wealth management area improved its turnover by 10.5%.

“We achieved a strong quarterly result in all businesses,” said James P. Gorman, president and CEO of Morgan Stanley, who noted that for the fourth consecutive quarter the bank billed more than $ 10 billion, which allowed “an exercise of record income and profits”.
