Mobile Internet becomes faster than Wi-Fi

OpenSignal conducted a study where it reveals that more than thirty countries in the world have a better mobile Internet connection than Wi-Fi

In many countries around the world mobile Internet is slow and has signal problems. 4G technology has not really been deployed in all corners of the planet and despite that, in several places there are exceptions.

OpenSignal carried out a research that shows that mobile signals in many countries, and specifically in 33 nations, are faster than Wi-Fi.

However, the differences are sometimes abysmal between countries. It usually has an advantage of 10 Mbps or more in places like Australia, Oman and the Czech Republic, while the benefits of multiple megabits are common in places like Austria, Iran and South Africa.

OpenSignal shows notable differences in Latin American countries such as Bolivia, Guatemala, Ecuador, Colombia and Mexico.

Such reality sets the alarm towards the arrival of 5G and represents a focus of attention for companies that supply fixed Internet in both residential and commercial areas.
