Microsoft’s Skype application has gone through an update that aims to revive it in Windows 11. The tool returns without ads and with features based on artificial intelligence.
At the time, Skype was a success; It was the most used app for video calls between individuals and in the corporate sphere. However, other applications emerged that also integrated video calls and lost prominence.
Now, Microsoft announces an update to Skype, basically eliminating absolutely all ads, which is available to “all users registered in the Skype Insider program,” who will no longer have to see “ads in channels or in other areas, improving the overall performance.”
Creating images with AI
Microsoft has also announced other new features with the new version of Skype for Windows 11, including the ability to create images with artificial intelligence from the chat window. These images can be sent or shared with chat participants.
Microsoft’s improvements to the application that was once the favorite for making video calls seek to reposition it in the market by taking advantage of AI and the range of possibilities that this technology allows.
