Microsoft will add functions based on Artificial Intelligence

The new tool for PowerPoint will be responsible for dictating suggestions during presentations users are reading or viewing

Microsoft has announced a new tool for PowerPoint that will use artificial intelligence to make suggestions to the user during the presentation of his projects, indicating if he is using phrases that may hurt sensitivity in certain cultures or if he is reading the slide too much, among other aspects.

According to Microsoft announced in a statement, this new PowerPoint feature, called Presenter Coach, will guide the user in the practice of exposing their presentations, with real-time comments on the content of his speech, the speed at which he is doing it and how he is doing it.

In this way, this new tool based on artificial intelligence will tell the user if he is using inclusive language or not, if he is using filler words like ‘eh’, ‘um’, or similar, and it will even notice if the user is reading the slides and will warn you to stop doing it and focus on the fundamental aspects.

At the end of the practice, a report will appear with a summary of how the user has done in each aspect, including the time it took to make the presentation and the number of slides he has rehearsed.

To access this presentation rehearsal mode, the user will have to click on the Start’ button, which will appear at the beginning of the .ppt next to the “practice helps you to better understand your content” message. The suggestions will then begin to appear on the screen automatically. This new tool will be launched this summer.
