Microsoft joins the trend of folding products

The technology giant works on its next releases, betting on folding devices and more news to its customers around the world

Samsung took the first step towards the development of folding screens at the end of 2018 with the launch of the new Infinity Flex Display technology. Now Microsoft joins this trend and rumors point to the launch of innovative products, also folding.

This technology has generated a lot of expectation in consumers. On the other hand, some launches have been a failure, as it happened recently with the FlexPai, launched in China by the startup Royole and that many consider as unusable.

In any case, Microsoft is seriously investing in the design of “folding devices and dual-screen hardware“. Beyond being considered a trend or fashion, the technolgy giant prepares to fully engage in this branch of technology.

In fact, comments have already been spread – without confirming – about the development of an innovative folding tablet that, according to rumors, has been called Project Andromeda. What has been confirmed is the launch this year of the Microsoft Surface Hub 2 in collaboration with Intel.

In the process of “adapting the operating system to other formats is part of that philosophy of Windows Core OS that will serve as the fundamental basis of operation of any device with Windows, but then adapt to each format with certain modules that take advantage of those specific benefits.”

Microsoft Corporation, based in Redmond, Washington (USA), continues working on its folding products and dual screens, with the hope that in the medium term demonstrate their potential.
