Microsoft Build 2020, one of the annual conference event held by the American company aimed at software engineers and web developers using Windows, Microsoft Azure and other Microsoft technologies, has suspended the holding of its event that was planned to take place in Seattle from May 19 to May 21 due to the spread of Covid-19.

According to official statements to The Verge, the company indicates that they have followed the health recommendations of the state of Washington so the developers event will be held in virtual format. To this modality is added the MWC 2020, the Google I / O, the GDC who also hold annual events.

At the moment they have not given more details about it, although it will probably be held on streaming conference and virtual classes for developers.

During this event Microsoft will take the opportunity to present news related to Windows, Office and other services of the brand. For this year there were undoubtedly expectations related to the proposal of double screen for Surface devices with Android and Windows 10X.

WWDC is planned for June this year and although the company has not said anything about it, it is presumed that it will also be suspended.
