Mexican entrepreneurs promote their products on Instagram

The social network is preferred to market products instead of web pages

A study carried out in Mexico by Ipsos Connect, oriented to media and communication research, showed half of the young entrepreneurs in the country prefer the platform of the social network Instagram to promote and market goods and services.

The analytics of the company showed that Instagram is more attractive as a means of promotion compared to web pages thanks to the images and videos that can be loaded. The alternative of stories that users can upload to their accounts is also a plus. These elements are strong marketing and advertising mechanisms.

On average, for 78% of local SMEs, the social network is a easy-to-use platform with daily access, at any time, wherever the entrepreneur is. It does not require more specifications, although it does include security procedures to prevent cyber crimes.

According to the results of the Ipsos Connect study, 74% of entrepreneurs have stated the possibility to reach more customers in their city through the social network, while 72% say that their chances of connecting with other cities and countries are greater .

An aspect of Instagram that favors sales is the possibility for users to save the contents to make a future purchase. On the other hand, an increasing trend is the Instagram consultation to learn about new brands and entrepreneurs.
