MetaMask launches platform for mobile devices
The digital wallet service of cryptocurrencies and decentralized applications (dApp) of ethereum has announced the launch of its platform for mobile devices
MetaMask the wallet service of digital currencies and decentralized applications created its platform for mobile teams. It works as an extension for browsers like Chrome, Firefox and Brave.
The company made the announcement in the framework of the conference focused on ethereum known as DevCon, held in Prague, Czech Republic. The event is organized by leading companies in cryptocurrencies such as EY, Microsoft, Santander, Blockfolio, among others.
The new product will allow customers to run several dApps such as CryptoKitties, connecting the wallet to the dApp. Since its launch in 2016, MetaMask has become the preferred wallet for token users of ethereum and ERC20; mainly because of its ability to handle several requests for decentralized applications.
Cryptoactive users favor mobile wallets instead of web-based wallets, due to several advantages over security. That is why smartphones have benefits over laptops and desktops for wallets.
According to the company, for years many of its users asked for a smartphone wallet, since personal keys tend to be more vulnerable on computers.
