Mendoza: “Venezuela’s decline has been strong”

The president of Empresas Polar assured during the Conindustria congress that the difficulties experienced have greatly affected the country's industrial sector

The president of Empresas Polar, Lorenzo Mendoza, participated in the annual Conindustria congress, where he spoke about the situation of the sector in Venezuela.

“The difficulties that we have experienced all these years in the industrial sector have unfortunately affected us a lot. I am not going to bore you with data because we all know the daily routine, but it is unfortunate to see ourselves in the 1940s per capita scenario. It is incredible that Venezuela is 80 years of decline without a pause, as has happened in other countries” said the businessman.

Mendoza highlighted how companies have organized in the face of the current situation in Venezuela, and said it is necessary for the country to “embrace the free market” thanks to policies that “help those most affected”.

Gathering all the points of his participation, the businessman wanted to highlight the need to make proposals in the economic field, to be able to get ahead of the aforementioned.

“I think it is very important that politicians exist, that there is alternation, but it is essential that businessmen are listened to and are called to exercise public responsibilities, but leaving their own interests aside”, he said.
