McDonald’s acquires AI company to personalize customer experience

The American fast food chain announced the purchase of the technology firm Dynamic Yield, which specializes in AI to offer a personalized service to customers

McDonald’s has the purpose of implementing Dynamic Yield technology in the menu that it offers in its car service, known as drive thru. It is expected that the service will update automatically and adapt to various variables such as weather data or traffic.

Also, the restaurant chain expects that once the customer has started to select dishes from the menu other recommended products appear that complement his choice.

Meanwhile, the specialized media maintains that the acquisition of McDonald’s is valued at 300 million dollars that represents the largest purchase made by the restaurant chain in twenty years.

For his part, the CEO and president of the chain of hamburgers, Steve Easterbrook, states: “Technology is a critical element of our rapid growth plan, which improves the experience of our customers by providing more comfort.”
