The person in charge of the electric power of Venezuela will be replaced by the Electrical Engineer Igor Gavidia

This Monday in national chain Nicolás Maduro announced the dismissal of the Minister of Electric Power, Major General Luis Motta Domínguez in the middle of an energy crisis that crosses Venezuela.

In the position was appointed the Electrical Engineer, Igor Gavidia. As a reason for the dismissal, Maduro said that it was due to the “big effort” that Motta Dominguez showed for four years, for which he already needed “a break”.

He also stressed that next April 3 will be resuming school activities at all levels, so he urged the Minister of Education (Aristóbulo Istúriz) to prepare a contingency plan.

Venezuela is going through an energy crisis since March 7, which has affected all sectors of the country. Due to this last Sunday an electrical rationing plan was announced, which has a period of 30 days.
