Maduro announces that crude sales will be in petros by 2019

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro announced that oil production next year will be sold through the petro cryptocurrency.
This was announced by the national leader from Moscow, where he indicated that progressively “we are going to sell all our oil production in petro, in 2019 we have a schedule so that all of Venezuela’s oil production is sold in petro”.
On the other hand, the national president said that it is necessary to apply a balanced and fair system in the country for trade.
Maduro also explained that in this system the dollar is expected to function as an exchange currency, but that it is not used as a “political mechanism” by governments.
