Litecoin announced the launch of crypto debit card

The purpose is to offer clients a tool to invest or spend their cryptocurrencies as they do with regular cash. In its initial stage, the debit card will be available to US customers

In a few weeks the Litecoin Foundation will launch a new debit card for cryptocurrencies. The first phase of Litecoin BlockCard will include users from the United States, and then expand to other countries.

The non-profit foundation specialized in solutions based on blockchain technology, indicated that it is a tool for customers to cancel services, consumptions and expenses with their cryptocurrencies in physical or virtual stores that accept credit cards.

The platform’s announcement states: “The special edition of Litecoin BlockCard will allow the use of litecoin (LTC), bibox token (BIX) and ternio (TERN)”. Bibox Exchange will be responsible for safeguarding user funds, “making available its services that capitalize around USD $ 200 million in transactions with cryptocurrencies.”

Customers will have the official purse of Litecoin, LoafWallet, and will be able to carry out transactions easily and simply. Charlie Lee, creator of Litecoin, has indicated that the new DC will serve to promote greater adoption of the digital asset in key segments such as travelers, who can use it for payment in hotels, purchases in stores and services.

Spokespersons from the company have indicated that in a few weeks will provide information to users on the mechanisms of registration to acquire the respective card in the United States.
