Since August 29th, a draft bill for Liechtenstein related to cryptocurrencies and the Initial Currency Offers (ICO) has been circulating.

This proposal will be discussed on November 16th by a commission of experts in the area of finance and technology. This measure seeks to ensure laws in the nation for all actors within the digital currency community.

This law seeks an improvement in terms of legal financial security, so strong that it can protect users of cryptocurrencies.

In the document, the terms blockchain, cryptocurrency and token are specified, as well as its own regulation, which must be focused on the trust that can be shown by the two parties involved in the transaction.

The government’s intentions are to find a way for the country to adapt to the pace of the evolution of distributed accounting technology, so that it remains applicable in the long term.

The bill also includes other laws that can be very useful, including the Due Diligence Act (SPG), the Financial Market Supervision Law (FMAG), the Law on Business and Persons and the Law on Commercial Law.
