Leningrad created a farm with three thousand miners

The Russian region invested at least 7.3 million dollars in the installation and purchase of devices that work with an energy capacity of 20mW

The government of the Leningrad region announced the opening of a mining farm with more than three thousand devices in operation.

Officials in the region called this project the “largest data processing center in Russia, designed to extract the bitcoin digital currency.”

In detail, the facility has an energy capacity of 20mW and is located in the Levoberezhnv industrial park in Kirishi. It is presumed that the investment was about 7.3 million dollars.

The deputy governor of Leningrad, Dimitry Yalov, assured that all the conditions were favorable so that in this territory this mining space could be created.

“The favorable conditions were created in the territory of Leningrad for the creation of mining farms. There is enough capacity in the region, so electricity prices are relatively low. The number of advantages of the region is undeniable, besides the availability of qualified personnel and engineering sites,” explained Yalov.

The construction, carried out on the premises of an old Soviet fertilizer factory, was possible thanks to the work of the Cryptouniverse company.
