Kenya will apply blockchain in housing distribution

The African nation announced that it will use technology for home allocation programs for people

The Kenyan government is preparing a plan which will include blockchain technology in a distribution program of 50,000 homes.

Thus indicated a report from a local media, which also explained that the State plans to build another 500 thousand by the year 2022, and thus help citizens who earn just $ 992 which does not allow them to pay mortgages.

The blockchain technology will serve to ensure an adequate distribution of the houses for program participants, as well as providing solutions linked to the information of the beneficiaries and legislators.

The Kenyan government seeks to restore confidence after a corruption scandal, where more than $ 78 million disappeared in a similar project.

The nation’s chief secretary, Charles Hinga, commented that “Kenya will use blockchain technology to ensure that government housing reaches the right hands“.
