Juan Bracamonte: Avior tickets offer security and commitment

The airline deepens a process of continuous improvement of its standards and operational practices as indicated by its executive president

Avior has received important certifications that confirm the professionalism and security of its operations. It is the first Venezuelan airline distinguished as SMS by the national aeronautical authority –INAC in Spanish-. Also, it has been certified by IOSA, a rogorous recognition granted by IATA.

Since 2017, Avior has strengthened a process of continuous improvement of its standards and operational practices, as explained its CEO Juan Bracamonte. In this search for safety and quality improvements, they have achieved three important aspects:

  • Avior obtained the IOSA (Operational Safety Audits of IATA) certification until 2020, which implies that it complies with standards and recommended practices in safety matters established by IATA.
  • Avior was certified as Operational Safety Management System (SMS) to the INAC on April 10th, 2019. Such approval is based on the regulatory requirements of RAV 5 and Annex 19 of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
  • At present, Avior is practically the only Venezuelan airline with a Flight Data Analysis Program (FDAP), audited and approved by the aeronautical authority INAC (awaiting delivery of the certificate). This means that all the data of our flights in the Flight Data Recorders are audited by an advanced software called SKY Analyst FDM, from a Canadian provider of great experience and reputation in the industry.

Dr. Juan Bracamonte, lawyer by profession and also expert in Civil Aviation, emphasizes that “these three IOSA, SMS and FDAP certifications by INAC, based on ICAO standards, make Avior the only Venezuelan airline with this type of certification.”

Additionally, Avior carries a set of safety indicators that have been agreed and monitored by the INAC, after the formal approval of the SMS. “We also have a team composed of qualified and serious aeronautical professionals of recognized reputation in Venezuela and highly skilled in each key position.”

So we continue to improve processes because we want to provide a safe, comfortable, efficient and high quality service, as we really do, said Bracamonte.

“When an Avior ticket is acquired, the user makes contact with and obtains the support from an organization with more than a thousand employess, well-maintained equipment committed to Venezuela”, he added.

During the conversation and interview, Bracamonte addressed the current situation of air transport in Venezuela, the issue of communication and relationship between civil aviation – general aviation – and government authorities and institutions, as well as the results of the recent meeting with all airlines.
