Jack Dorsey was ratified as CEO of Twitter, as the board of directors so decided after holding a committee to evaluate its results.
This committee evaluated the leadership capacity that the businessman has had in front of Twitter, as established in the agreement created in March 2020 with the activist investor Elliott Management and the capital firm Silver Lake
“The committee expressed its confidence in management and recommended that the current structure be maintained. The board will continue to evaluate the performance of the company and management based on a variety of factors, including the company’s operating plan and established milestones,” the meeting results indicated.
It was also proposed that the terms of the directors of Twitter be changed from three years to just one, which would facilitate, according to several media outlets, the possibility that Elliott removes the current board and takes control of the company.
