Apple is currently working on the development of the iPhone 12 to succeed the iPhone 11, a device expected to hit the market in the fall of 2020 with a camera with at least a 7P lens, up from 6P on the current model.

TF Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says in a note to investors, as reported by the Apple Insider portal, that the camera of the next iPhone 12 will use 7P lenses, that is, lenses composed of seven layers of plastic, compared to the six that They use the lenses of the previous iPhone model.

According to Kuo, there will be three versions of the 2020 main iPhone model, one with a dual-lens rear camera with a 5.4-inch screen, and another 6.1-inch with a triple camera, with a size of 1/2, 6 inches and 7P for the wide angle lens.

For its part, the third model in the series will have a 6.7-inch screen with a 1 / 1.9-inch triple rear camera and also with 7P for the wide angle and support for sensor change. All models are expected to have OLED displays.

In addition, Apple is also expected to diversify the supply of camera lenses. Currently, Largan Precision, responsible for the cameras of iPhone 11, is the main supplier and, according to Kuo, Apple could also use the sensors manufactured by the Genius company, as an additional supplier.
