Intel will encrypt its next memories
The manufacturers said that with this measure they will seek to protect the hardware from physical attacks
During an event to celebrate the company’s Security Day, Intel promised full memory encryption on its next central processing units (CPUs) to protect the hardware from physical attacks.
In such event, held within the framework of the RSA security conference in San Francisco (United States), the company established its present and future vision for the functions it will carry out in the framework of the security of its hardware.
The US company said that full memory encryption helps to better protect against physical attacks.
To do this, it provides an encryption based on a hardware that is transparent to the operating system as well as to the software layers.
Intel SGX, which was launched in 2015, is one of the first hardware encryption technologies designed to protect some memory areas of unauthorized users.
