Inkrypt challenges censorship in networks

The content hosting site aims to give freedom to journalists and publicists

A group of talented visionaries combined their skills to create the content hosting site Inkrypt, through which they seek to evade censorship of publications by journalists and publicists applied by governments. One of its premises is to return power to people and free the information.

Inkrypt.io is a platform created thanks to the latest digital technologies that is based on the transparency of information and the elimination of obstacles that impede the transmission of knowledge through impositions, rules and other mechanisms that become a barrier. It was conceived and designed at Harvard Innovation Labs.

The media published with this platform are fragmented and distributed through a global network of nodes. With this system data is encrypted, replicated and kept within the spare hard disk space of the node operators of the network. Then they are stored in the blockchain and protected against any failure.

The advantage of this technology is that no company or government has the capacity to identify the nodes just by intercepting a transaction on the Internet. Consequently, and in favor of those who publish content, anonymity is maintained.

The decentralized protocol of publications selected was Po.et, since it offers an extraordinary set of tools and makes them available to developers. In this way, the creators of content enter a new ecosystem of transparent, integral media, where the ownership of the data prevails. A step forward towards “Web 3.0”.
