India could regulate cryptocurrencies in September
The government announced that in two months they will discuss the regulation plan for electronic currencies
Through local media it was confirmed that the government of India plans to discuss the cryptocurrency regulation plan in the month of September.
This proposal will be handled by the interdisciplinary committee constituted by the Ministry of Finance and chaired by the special secretary of Economic Affairs, Subhash Garg.
The draft of this regulation is currently being consulted by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) and the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
The preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 11, where it is planned to evaluate all those requests that are related to cryptocurrencies and that are currently being processed by the courts of India.
In this regard, it should be remembered that due to governmental decisions made earlier this year, the Indian cryptoactive market is subject to strong restrictions that hinder the exchange.
