An investigation conducted by MarketWatch ensures that during the last year there were at least 287 collections valued at 8.7 billion dollars

During 2018 cryptocurrencies scenario was not completely negative. A report states that this year there was a significant increase in the number of Initial Currencies Offers (ICO) authorized by the Securities and Exchange Commission of the United States (SEC).

According to the data collected by MarketWatch, last year there were at least 287 fundraisers out of a total declared value of 8.7 billion dollars.

“That is a significant increase of 44 fundraisers presented with a total declared value of $ 2.1 billion in 2017“, MarketWatch said.

The aforementioned agencies were accepted by the US securities agency following the provisions of Form D, in which the companies disclose information necessary for investors.

Regulations within the cryptocurrency market continue to be a complex issue to discuss. In 2019 it is expected a consolidation of digital assets regulations.
