During the coronavirus outbreak, the technology company IBM offered its tool with Artificial Intelligence (AI) Watson Assistant free of charge to all countries, which helps to solve the doubts that citizens raise on the Internet or through their phone on these issues.

In a statement, IBM notes that with 206 countries, areas, and territories affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, it wants to help governments, healthcare systems, and academic institutions around the world to reliably inform citizens, using Artificial intelligence.

“The avalanche of requests for information by citizens through different channels has caused, in some areas, the waiting time to receive responses to inquiries exceeds two hours”, he says.

In this context, IBM offers for free, for at least 90 days, IBM ‘Watson Assistant for Citizens’, a tool available in the company’s public cloud that helps to resolve the doubts that citizens raise online or via their phone.

This solution brings together the capabilities of Watson Assistant, IBM Research Natural Language Processing, and next-generation enterprise AI search capabilities with Watson Discovery to understand and answer the most common questions related to the Covid-19.
