Huawei to launch its first 5G phone in June

The vice president of the Asian company made the announcement during his participation in the World Economic Forum in Switzerland

Hu Houkun, vice president of the Huawei company, announced that his first 5G phone will be on the market by June of this year.

This was indicated during the World Economic Forum, at the city of Davos, Switzerland.

Many of the technological tools such as the Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence are ready to take an important step in terms of the adaptation to 5G technology.

Around 154 operators in 66 countries are testing 5G technology and 110 5G networks are expected by 2025, as indicated by the Global System for the Mobile Communications Association (GSMA).

“Huawei has deployed 5G networks in more than 10 countries, and the company is expected to roll out 5G in 20 countries by 2019. The 5G technology will be the largest market in the technology sector this year and is growing rapidly,” Houkun said.

It is expected that by the year 2022, the Asian company will reach a market value of 26,000 million dollars thanks to the use of 5G technology with a compound annual growth rate of 118%.
