Huawei postpones the launching of its new folding smartphone

The Chinese manufacturer said that the launch of Mate X will be delayed a few months for security reasons

It was contemplated that the smartphone reached the market this June but have decided to move everything to September 2019.

The reason is simple, it’s about security. The novelty is a folding screen device that seems destined to have a commercial duel against Samsung.

The company says it does not want to launch a product that destroys its reputation. So they have implemented a series of additional tests to make sure that the device is 100% reliable and functional.

It is worth remembering what happened with the Galaxy Fold in April. In this case, the screen could be damaged during the first week of use due to a design defect. Technically, this delay has a direct relationship with Samsung, not with the commercial blockade promoted by the United States administration.

The mystery persists and nobody knows whether the Mate X will have an Android operating system or not. Time will bring the answer.
