HTC will increase blockchain phones by the end of 2019

The Taiwanese company wants to increase the sales of its smart devices with the integration of this technology

The Taiwanese phone manufacturers, HTC Corporation, is preparing to launch integrated cell phones with blockchain technology by the end of this year.

This project is part of the company’s efforts to increase sales of smartphones, while at the same time seeking to continue with the expansion of its blockchain platform.

This is not the first device with blockchain technology launched by the company. Last year they released the Exodus equipment that, in addition to having high-end specifications and a transparent back cover, was a cryptocurrency purse in a “secure clutch” separated from the operating system.

The director of HTC’s decentralized department, Phil Chen, indicated that the company not only seeks to support its management in terms of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies, but also aims to cover the mobile applications sector.

These new communication blockchain applications will be based on peer-to-peer connections, rather than “routing” through the cloud as in the previous generation’s handset, Chen added.

On the other hand, Chen talked about the success of centralized consumer applications, such as the Uber taxi service and the Airbnb hosting reservations site, which establish a model for the emerging blockchain sector and decentralized technologies.
