In an announcement made this week, the British institution HSBC explained that it has made more than three million transactions through Forex using blockchain technology.
Additionally, they detailed that in 2018 the value of the transactions was located in 250 billions of dollars, a very important figure.
It should be noted that the bank has a total of 7,500 offices in more than 80 countries and territories in Europe, America, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
Although banks have been a little distant when it comes to cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin or ethereum, many maintain a more open stance when talking about “underlying” technology.
An important aspect to highlight is that conventional transactions of this style take between five and 10 days to complete, but thanks to blockchains technology they can be carried out in about 24 hours.
