Hackers stole funds from the Zaif exchange

According to the authorities, the criminals would have taken around 60 million dollars

This week, the exchange Zaif reported to the authorities the theft of 60 million dollars which were stolen through by hackers.

As indicated by the people in charge of the exchange office, this cyberattack took place on September 17th. After this robbery, the representatives alerted their clients and suspended the operations of transfers, deposits and withdrawals.

The investigations of the authorities assures that this hack could have initiated on September 14th and that it was directed to the “hot wallet”, which is destined to bottoms of investments.

The managers of Zaif also indicated that the delinquents robbed 60 million dollars distributed between bitcoins, bitcoin cash and monacoin.

At the moment, the company plans to request a loan to be able to cancel the debt with the clients, as well as they will keep them informed of any event or measure they are going to take.
