The California-based Internet giant announced that it will invest $ 1 billion on a new campus that will be called Google Hudson Square

The US multinational company Google recently announced that it will invest $ 1 billion in its new offices in New York. It is a new campus with an area of 158,000 m2 under the name of Google Hudson Square.

Located in Manhattan, between the Soho and Greenwich Village, the new set of offices is part of the expansion plans of the US Internet giant.

This was confirmed by Ruth Porat, vice president and financial advisor of Google and its parent company Alphabet. For his part, the director of Public Policy and Government Relations of Google, William Floyd, referred to the figure as a conservative amount with which they estimate to expand its workforce to 7,000 over the next 10 years.

Technological advances continue to increase and this is one of the main bets, not only of Google but of other multinationals in the sector such as Amazon and Apple.

Porat said: “The city of New York is still a great source of diversity and talent of the first international level, which is what brought Google here for the first time in the year 2000 and what keeps us here.”
