Google Translate enables offline mode with AI

Thanks to this technology, users of the application will have access to the platform without an Internet connection

Google recently announced that it will update the tool used by millions of people around the world for online translation, offering the possibility of doing it without an Internet connection thanks to Artificial Intelligence.

The Android application is almost ready and will use the benefits of artificial intelligence and neuronal translation to offer the public the service in more than 27 languages without having to be connected to the Internet. The system was developed in collaboration with its partner Google Brain.

To know the needs of the users of the application, Google Translate product manager, Julie Cattiau, traveled to different countries collecting the concerns related to the usability and all the alternatives to optimize the offer.

As expected, Google seeks to continue with the excellence and mystique that have been made available to users, but considering the complete sentence to be translated, as well as the context, as indicated by Cattiau.

The Google responsible for the service found that phrases to be translated on mobile devices were too long. A situation that they hope to correct with improvements to the service in all countries where translation is required.
