Google is ready to launch its first foldable phone

The technology company is scheduled to announce the launch of the Google Pixel Fold on May 10 during the annual Google I/O developer conference

The precise date of the launch of Google’s first folding smartphone, the Pixel Fold, has not yet been revealed. It is presumed that it will be in June; however, the tech giant will make the presentation on May 10 during the annual Google I/O developer conference.

According to the CNBC newspaper and other specialized technology media, Google is ready to launch its first foldable phone that allows it to compete with other brands such as Samsung.

CNBC has advanced some features of the new Google product, also known as Felix. In this sense, it is known that it integrates the “most durable hinge in a folding phone”. Likewise, the model “will be waterproof, will have a 5.8-inch wide exterior screen, will open like a book to reveal a 7.6-inch screen, will weigh 280 grams, will have a 24-hour autonomy, and even it will exceed 72 hours if it is used in low consumption, and it will cost more than 1,500 euros (approximately)”.

Google Pixel Fold will work with the manufacturer’s Tensor G2 chip, the same one that incorporates the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7. It will be, without a doubt, the most expensive smartphone in the series, with a value above $1,700.
