Google enables voice payment verification

The company is testing this functionality, which allows users to identify themselves through recognition from the phone

Google Assistant began testing a new feature known as Voice Match, which allows users of the application to identify themselves to validate payments through voice recognition from the phone.

Through the Voice Match function, users can validate a purchase they have made through voice commands to the Google Assistant, which is able to recognize the users by their voice, as the company commented through a report.

Google noted that this new feature applies only to payments made with the Assistant, such as improvements to digital content on Google Play.

Users have the possibility to activate this function from the settings menu of the Google Assistant on mobiles, in the ‘Payments’ section and among the verification options offered by the tool.

As confirmed by the company, validation of voice payments in the Assistant is currently being tested on a limited basis.
