Globant will reward women leaders in technology

The technology solutions company opened the application period that closes on November 4 for outstanding women and future promises in the technology area

The technology solutions company Globant has opened the nomination period for the Globant Awards: Women That Build, the first edition of an award that seeks to distinguish women leaders and promising women from the field of technology around the world.

The award aims to highlight those professionals who generate a positive impact on the industry and thereby “inspire more women and non-binary people to become interested in STEM“, defended Patricia Pomies, Globant Chief People & Delivery Officer, in a company statement.

“Only 3 out of 10 workers in activities related to pure science in the region are women,” said Wanda Weigert, Globant’s Chief Brand Officer. The company highlights the importance of achieving more diverse teams and showcasing the industry’s potential for female talent.

Globant Awards: Women that Build Edition will feature national editions and a global final from which three following categories will be awarded: women with STEM training who hold senior positions in the IT sector – presidents or vice-presidents –; ‘game changer’, for professionals without technological training who occupy leadership positions with an impact on the IT industry; and ‘rising star’, for a woman under 26 with high potential in the use of technology, a history of overcoming or having progressed quickly.
