Germany will have strong growth in summer

The German institution Bundesbank ensures that, after the sharp fall due to the coronavirus, the country is in a good recovery process

The Central Bank of Germany (Bundesbank) estimates that the German economy will have a strong recovery  in the summer from the collapse of the economic situation due to the coronavirus crisis.

“After the sharp fall in the first half, the German economy could grow very robustly in the summer quarter of 2020,” considers the entity’s monthly report.

The Bundesbank expects to continue the strong and broad recovery that had already begun after the lowest point of the economic situation, registered in April.

The German economy fell massively in the first half of the year, due to the measures implemented to contain the coronavirus pandemic.

The decline was historically strong with a decline of around 10% from the prior quarter in the second quarter.

In March and April there were sectors of the German economy that were paralyzed. At the same time, the situation was similar in many other large national economies, which had a drastic impact on foreign trade.

At present, however, the Bundesbank sees an improvement, as a result of the recovery of the industry, believes that investments in equipment are likely to revive.
